X-antistat
Antistatics are necessary in many applications
in the plastics industry.
Many polymers, particulary polyolefines, show
very high surface residues. Hence, they can easily become
electrostatically charged.
This leads to optical disturbance of the final
part (attraction of dust) and to very high electrostatic charges,
which can cause dangerous spark discharges.
Antistatica migrate to the surface and adsorb
water molecules from moisture in the air.
The resulting very thin film of moisture on the surface, is
capable to transport electrostatic charges, leading to reduction
of the surface resistance.
The efficiency of the antistatics depends not
only on the type and concentration of the active ingredient,
it strongly depends on the temperature and the humidity in
the environment of the final product.
Therefore the standarised measuring of the surface
resistance is always done under constant conditions at 23°C
and 50% humidity.
Due to different migration rates of the antistaics
it is possible to offer short term antistatics (quick migration
to surface) as well as long term antistatics (slow migration)
or a mixture of both.
Further, it is possible to use non-migrating
antistatics. These products build a conductible network within
the product, which is able to transport the charges off the
surface.
These products are suitable for high demands on antstatic
effect for a very long period of time.
X-antistat
masterbatches are „tailor made“ products, which
are developed for your demands on surface resistance, type
of polymer and duration of the antistatic effect.

foaming agent is suitable for your application. |
